This website was created in memory of Bernard Duval, a noble-hearted man of extraordinary devotion, who died in Quebec City on April 19, 2008.
Anyone who had the privilege of knowing him will keep a precious memory of his humanism and enthusiasm, for his beloved family, in his work in public health and for the religious, musical and sporting activities in which he participated. His selfless idealism led him to spend eight years of his professional life on international cooperation projects in Africa (Niger, Cameroon, Comoros Islands, Senegal) and three years in charge of public health for the Inuit population of Quebec.
His expertise and leadership in the field of immunization were recognized in Quebec and across Canada. For him, vaccination was one of the world’s most extraordinary scientific discoveries, a practical application of the proverb "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".
Help us remember this man who was both at peace with himself and who knew so well how to make other people happy.
